  • Tuesday, February 4: Depart USA
  • Wed., Feb. 5: Arrive in Israel | Drive to your hotel on the Mediterranean Sea
You will be met by a representative to assist the group through customs and provide transfer to your hotel. You will check in, have a lovely dinner overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and then get a good night’s rest.
  • Thurs., Feb. 6: Caesarea Maritime | Mt. Carmel | Valley of Armageddon | Megiddo | Nazareth | Arrive on the Sea of Galilee
The day begins with a drive up the coast to the ancient port city of Caesarea Maritime where the ancient harbor, hippodrome and great theatre stand. The events of Acts 12 took place there. Close by you will see the aqueducts built by Herod the Great and then view the Valley of Armageddon from the heights of Mt. Carmel where Elijah slew the prophets of Baal. Descending from there you will visit Megiddo, Solomon’s Ancient chariot city, view Ahab’s water tunnel, cross the entire Jezreel Valley and begin the climb through the lower Galilean Mountains to Nazareth, the childhood home of Jesus. You then go to your wonderful resort on the Sea of Galilee for dinner and overnight.
  • Friday, February 7
Sea of Galilee | Jesus Boat | Mount of Beatitudes | Tabgha | Capernaum | Lunch by the Sea | Baptism in the Jordan
When you awake you can walk the shoreline of the Sea of Galilee and watch the sunrise before breakfast. You will enjoy a boat ride and time of worship on the Sea and sail to Nof Ginnosar to view an ancient boat. You will follow the footsteps of Christ as you visit the Mt. of Beatitudes, ancient Capernaum, Tabgha, and then have the opportunity to eat St. Peter’s fish at a nearby restaurant. After lunch if you desire, you may be baptized in the Jordan River. Returning to your resort you can rest, have dinner, walk the shoreline and enjoy a good night’s sleep.
  • Sat., Feb. 8: Tel Dan | Bental | Dan Nature Reserve | Caesarea Philippi | Northern Golan Heights
Today you visit the beautiful northern mountains of Israel. A city gate from the time of Abraham is at Tel Dan along with an altar from the days of the divided kingdom. Walking through the incredible nature reserve at Dan you will see waterfalls, lush greenery, and beautiful clear rushing water and the beginnings of the Dan River, which joins other sources to form the Jordan. You will climb to the site of Peter’s confession of Christ at Caesarea Philippi and hear about “the Gates of Hell.” Traversing the Golan Heights you can stand at an ancient volcano, and hike to the top of Bental with a view of Damascus. Today you will become familiar with the strategic importance of the region in ancient times and today. You will retire to your resort on the Sea of Galilee for a final evening, have dinner, walk the shore, and overnight.
  • Sun., Feb. 9: Bet Shan | Wadi Qelt | Mount of Olives overlook of Jerusalem
Awake for your last view of the Sea of Galilee before beginning the drive to Jerusalem. Traveling alongside the Gilboa Mountain Range you will pass by Harrod’s Springs where Gideon tested his men. Before going down the Jordan Valley you will visit Bet Shan. Though not mentioned in the New Testament, it is the best preserved Roman City of that time. After a lunch break you will enjoy the route the pilgrim’s would have taken as they made their way to the great feasts of Israel. Passing by ancient Jericho, time premitting, you will stop at Wadi Qelt, the “Valley of Shadow of Death” before you begin the climb to the breathtaking city of Jerusalem where you will stand on the Mount of Olives overlook to view the city. It is the place that God loved like no other; where he put His Name, where Jesus walked, taught, died, and rose again… Jerusalem. You will check into your hotel, have dinner, and enjoy your first night in the beautiful city of Jerusalem.
