Arrive Israel morning | Caesarea | Mt. Carmel | Nazareth | Maybe Megiddo
The day begins with a drive up the coast to the ancient port city of Caesarea Maritime where the ancient harbor, hippodrome and great theatre stand. The events of Acts 12 took place there. Close by you will see the aqueducts built by Herod the Great and then view the Valley of Armageddon from the heights of Mt. Carmel where Elijah slew the prophets of Baal. Descending from there you may visit Megiddo, Solomon’s Ancient chariot city, view Ahab’s water tunnel, cross the entire Jezreel Valley and begin the climb through the lower Galilean Mountains to Nazareth, the childhood home of Jesus. You then go to your wonderful Hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

Boat Ride: Sea of Galilee | Jesus Boat | Mt of Beatitudes | Tabgha | Capernaum | Lunch near the sea | Baptism in the Jordan
You will awake to the Sea of Galilee and can watch the sunrise before breakfast. You will enjoy a boat ride and time of worship on the Sea and sail to Nof Ginnosar to view an ancient boat. You will follow the footsteps of Christ as you visit the Mt. of Beatitudes, ancient Capernaum, Tabgha, and then have an opportunity to eat St. Peter’s fish at a nearby restaurant. After lunch, if you desire, you may be baptized in the Jordan River. Returning to your resort you can rest, have dinner and enjoy a good night’s sleep.

Tel Dan | Bental | Dan Nature Reserve | Caesarea Philippi | Northern Golan Heights Valley of Tears
Today you visit the beautiful northern mountains of Israel. A city gate from the time of Abraham is at Tel Dan along with an altar from the days of the divided kingdom. Walking through the incredible nature reserve at Dan you will see waterfalls, lush greenery, and beautiful clear rushing water and the beginnings of the Dan River, which joins other sources to form the Jordan. You will climb to the site of Peter’s confession of Christ at Caesarea Philippi and hear about “the Gates of Hell.” Traversing the Golan Heights, you will View the Valley of Tears and hear of the surprise attack by the Syrian army on Yom Kippur in 1973 and the miraculous intervention of God on that incredible 4-day span. Depending on the timing, you may hike to the top of Bental with a view of Damascus. Today you will become familiar with the strategic importance of the region in ancient times and today, then return to Galilee for your final overnight before heading toward Jerusalem.

Depart Galilee go to Wadi Qelt | Jerusalem | Mt of Olives | Garden of Gethsemane | Israel Museum | any other ancillary sites that can be viewed
This morning you check out of your hotel and begin the drive to Jerusalem, following the ancient paths the pilgrims would have taken on their way to the great feasts of Israel. You will stop at Wadi Qelt where you will have an astounding view of the wilderness and see and hear about the area known as the “Valley of the Shadow of Death” before beginning the climb to the breathtaking city of Jerusalem. You will view the city from the Mount of Olives overlook for a time of teaching, then go to the Garden of Gethsemane. The afternoon will be spent at the Israel Museum and the Model of Ancient Jerusalem. If time permits, additional places will be viewed in the late afternoon before retiring to your beautiful hotel for your first night in the beautiful City of God.

You will spend an exciting morning descending to the Plains of Jericho, then on to the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth. You will visit Qumran, the center of the Essenes, where some of the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Just south of Qumran you will see where the ibex roam at Ein Gedi, David’s hideout from Saul. A short drive away you will be at Masada, the mountain-top fortress where the last zealots against Rome defended their freedom, and at the end, took their own lives rather than be taken as slaves. It is a heroic story many do not know. Before returning to Jerusalem, there will be a stop at the Dead Sea where you may float in the waters if you like, then you will once again follow that ancient pilgrim’s path to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Temple Mount 7:30 a.m. | Kotel | Davidson Center | Yad Vashem
Today you will rise early in order to be among first in line to go atop the Temple Mount. You will view the beautiful Kidron Valley and the Mount of Olives from that vantage point and see the outside of the Moslem shrine that now sits where Solomon’s ancient temple once stood. Leaving there you will visit the Kotel, the Western Wall supporting the Temple Mount where thousands pray daily. From there you will go through the Davidson Center to discover more about the archaeological findings from the First and Second Temple periods and have a time of teaching on the southern steps that once led into the temple where Jesus, his disciples, and the throngs of people would have climbed to enter the temple complex. Following this incredible morning, you will visit Yad Vashem – the Holocaust Museum – and learn of the millions of people decimated by the Nazis, see remnants of their lives and hear stories of heroism by many non-Jews who helped many escape certain death during this horrific time in history. You will return to your hotel for dinner and your last overnight in Jerusalem.

House of Caiaphas | Pools of Bethesda | St. Anne’s | Sisters of Zion | Garden Tomb | Farewell Dinner | Late-night Departure
This morning you check-out, then begin the day at the House of Caiaphas, the High Priest during the final days of Christ’s life, and see the pit where Christ was most likely held. From there you will walk through the Pools of Bethesda where many were healed, visit St. Anne’s Church and hear the beautiful acoustics inside before going to the Sisters of Zion where you will have a time of teaching and view the ancient pavement from the courtyard of the Antonia Fortress where Jesus would have been scourged and see the games etched into the floor by the soldiers who would have gambled for the robes of prisoners. You will walk the via dolorosa and end the day at the Garden Tomb before sharing a delicious farewell dinner together and departing for Tel Aviv for a late-night return to the USA.
