Today you will leave the United States on a trans-continental flight to Tel Aviv, Israel.
Arrive TLV | Go to Hotel. have dinner and overnight on the Mediterranean Sea
You will be met by a representative to assist the group through customs and provide transfer to your hotel. You will check in, have a lovely dinner overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and then get a good night’s rest.
Caesarea Maritime | Mt. Carmel | Valley of Armageddon | Megiddo | Nazareth | Arrive on the Sea of Galilee
The day begins with a drive up the coast to the ancient port city of Caesarea Maritime where the ancient harbor, hippodrome and great theatre stand. The events of Acts 12 took place there. Close by you will see the aqueducts built by Herod the Great and then view the Valley of Armageddon from the heights of Mt. Carmel where Elijah slew the prophets of Baal. Descending from there you will visit Megiddo, Solomon’s Ancient chariot city, view Ahab’s water tunnel, cross the entire Jezreel Valley and begin the climb through the lower Galilean Mountains to Nazareth, the childhood home of Jesus. You then go to your wonderful resort on the Sea of Galilee for dinner and overnight.

When you awake you can walk the shoreline of the Sea of Galilee and watch the sunrise before breakfast. You will enjoy a boat ride and time of worship on the Sea and sail to Nof Ginnosar to view an ancient boat. You will follow the footsteps of Christ as you visit the Mt. of Beatitudes, ancient Capernaum, Tabgha, and then have the opportunity to eat St. Peter’s fish at a nearby restaurant. After lunch if you desire, you may be baptized in the Jordan River. Returning to your resort you can rest, have dinner, walk the shoreline and enjoy a good night’s sleep.

Today you visit the beautiful northern mountains of Israel. A city gate from the time of Abraham is at Tel Dan along with an altar from the days of the divided kingdom. Walking through the incredible nature reserve at Dan you will see waterfalls, lush greenery, and beautiful clear rushing water and the beginnings of the Dan River, which joins other sources to form the Jordan. You will climb to the site of Peter’s confession of Christ at Caesarea Philippi and hear about “the Gates of Hell.” Traversing the Golan Heights you can stand at an ancient volcano, and hike to the top of Bental with a view of Damascus. Today you will become familiar with the strategic importance of the region in ancient times and today. You will retire to your resort on the Sea of Galilee for a final evening, have dinner, walk the shore, and overnight.

Awake for your last view of the Sea of Galilee before beginning the drive to Jerusalem. Traveling alongside the Gilboa Mountain Range you will pass by Harrod’s Springs where Gideon tested his men. Before going down the Jordan Valley you will view Bet Shan. Though not mentioned in the New Testament, it is the best preserved Roman City of that time. From Beit Shean you will pass by ancient Jericho on your way to Masada, then make a stop so those who desire to do so can float in the Dead Sea, then begin the trek the ancient pilgrim’s would have taken on their way to the ancient feasts as you begin the climb to the breathtaking city of Jerusalem where you will stand on the Mount of Olives overlook to view the city. It is the place that God loved like no other; where he put His Name, where Jesus walked, taught, died, and rose again... Jerusalem. You will check into your hotel, have dinner, and enjoy your first night in the beautiful city of Jerusalem.
Ein Gedi | Qumran | Wadi Qelt | Israel Museum | time permitting, David’s City
You will spend an exciting morning descending to the Plains of Jericho, as you drive to Ein Gedi, David’s ancient hideout from King Saul, where the ibex roam. You will visit Qumran, the center of the Essenes, where some of the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Then, before returning to Jerusalem, you will stop at Wadi Qelt and view the Valley of the Shadow of Death before ascending to Jerusalem. At the Israel Museum you will view part of the ancient Dead Sea Scrolls discovered in the caves near Ein Gedi and the Dead Sea, and view the model of an ancient Jerusalem. Time permitting, you will view David’s City before returning to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

This morning you rise early to visit the most sacred place on earth, Mt. Moriah. You will visit the Temple Mount and the centuries old “Dome of the Rock” built 688 – 691 A.D. You will visit the Western Wall then visit the Davidson Center, and see the ancient Roman Cardo, Robinson’s Arch and the ancient Southern Steps. You visit the Pool of Bethesda where Jesus healed an invalid man and visit St. Anne’s Church nearby. Today you will also visit Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum before returning to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

On this last day in Jerusalem you will rise early, check out and begin the day on the Mt of Olives before walking the Palm Sunday Road and having personal time in the Garden of Gethsemane. From there you will go to the House of Caiaphas before going to the Sisters of Zion (Ecce Homo), the Place of the Pavement at the Fortress of Antonia, the sea of the Romam Procurator where the public trial of Christ, his condemnation and scourging would have taken place. You will then make your way along the Via Doloros and Calvary to the nearby Garden Tomb, where you will end this final day of touring with Communion near the Garden Tomb. T
