EFFECTIVE AUGUST 3, 2023
The State of Israel requires tourists to have a health insurance policy with coverage for the treatment of Covid19 virus, this condition will apply from 8.3.22.
No Vaccination or Proof of Vaccination is required at this time.
There are online instructions should you develop and test positive for Covid while in Israel. If you become ill after entering Israel, anyone who feels sick within 10 days after arriving in Israel is recommended to take a PCR test. PCR tests, as opposed to antigen tests, can detect newly imported variants to Israel. The PCR test can be done free of charge at the HMOs for those who present a flight ticket or cruise ticket from the last 10 days, or confirmation of payment of an exit fee from the Israeli land border crossing from the last 20 days.
Those aged 30 and above can test free without presenting one of these documents.
Non-Israeli citizens that test positive for COVID-19 during their stay in Israel, must comply with the isolation guidance for non-Israelis. Go to https://corona.health.gov.il/en/isolation-lobby/home-isolation.
In addition, from TLC Holyland Tours:
As there is virtually no US Health Insurance Policy that will give coverage while traveling outside the US, Trip Insurance that includes Medical coverage is required. TLC Holyland Tours now requires all passengers to have proof of purchase of Trip Insurance uploaded to each registration (from any provider of your choice, or click our Trip Insurance Link in the menu for additional information and a no-obligation quote).
