Israel 2026 Itinerary
TLC Holyland Tours or its representative reserves the right to change the order of the itinerary based on flight schedules or conditions on the ground.
Day 1: Depart USA
Today we take our flight from the US to Israel.
Day 2: Welcome to Israel - Caesarea - Mt . Carmel - Megiddo - Nazareth - Sea of Galilee
Welcome to Israel! After airport formalities, you will meet your guide & driver for the next week. The day begins with a drive up the coast to the ancient port city of Caesarea Maritime where the ancient harbor, hippodrome and great theatre stand. The events of Acts 12 took place there. Close by you will see the aqueducts built by Herod the Great and then view the Valley of Armageddon from the heights of Mt .Carmel where Elijah slew the prophets of Baal. Descending from there you will visit Megiddo, Solomon’s Ancient chariot city, view Ahab’s water tunnel, cross the entire Jezreel Valley and begin the climb through the lower Galilean Mountains to Nazareth, the childhood home of Jesus. Check in to the Magdala Hotel by the Sea of Galilee.Dinner & overnight.
Day 3: Sea of Galilee
When you awake you can walk the shoreline of the Sea of Galilee and watch the sunrise before breakfast. You will enjoy a boat ride and time of worship on the Sea and sail to Nof Ginnosar to view an ancient boat. You will follow the footsteps of Christ as you visit the Mt. of Beatitudes, ancient Capernaum, Tabgha, and then have the opportunity to eat St. Peter’s fish at a nearby restaurant. After lunch if you desire, you may be baptized in the Jordan River. Returning to your resort you can rest, have dinner, walk the shoreline and enjoy a good night’s sleep.
Day 4: Chorazin - Tel Dan - Caesarea Philippi - Golan Heights
Today you visit the beautiful northern mountains of Israel. A city gate from the time of Abraham is at Tel Dan along with an altar from the days of the divided kingdom. Walking through the incredible nature reserve at Dan you will see waterfalls, lush greenery, and beautiful clear rushing water and the beginnings of the Dan River, which joins other sources to form the Jordan. You will climb to the site of Peter’s confession of Christ at Caesarea Philippi and hear about “the Gates of Hell.” Traversing the Golan Heights you can stand at an ancient volcano, and hike to the top of Mt . Bental with a view of Damascus. Today you will become familiar with the strategic importance of the region in ancient times and today. You will retire to your resort on the Sea of Galilee for a final evening, have dinner, walk the shore, and overnight.
Day 5: Enter Jordan - Madaba - Mt . Nebo - Petra
Awake for your last view of the Sea of Galilee before beginning a long day of traveling and visits. Traveling alongside the Jordan Valley to Sheikh Hussein, the northern border crossing between Israel & Jordan. Enter Jordan. After border formalities, drive to Madaba. The city is known for its spectacular collection of Byzantine Mosaics, among them the famous Byzantine era mosaic map of the Holy Land. Drive to Mt. Nebo, reputed to be Moses burial place after he saw the Promised Land. Continue our drive via the Jordan Valley to Petra. Check in to our hotel Old Village Resort, dinner & overnight.
Day 6: Petra visit
Today you will walk to the incredible Nabatean City of Petra, Jordan. You can choose to either ride a horse into the city or walk through the narrow Siq to The Treasury. Following this excursion you will have lunch at the beautiful Movenpick Hotel where many dignitaries often stay when taking care of business while there. Return to your hotel for dinner & overnight
Day 7: Jordan - Israel - Jerusalem
Af er breakfast at your hotel in Petra, you will to the King Hussein Bridge (Allenby) to cross the border into Israel. Drive through Jericho for a short view, then stop at Wadi Kelt to view the incredible Judean Wilderness and the “Valley of the Shadow of Death” before beginning your ascent to Jerusalem following the route the ancient Pilgrim’s would have taken. Enter the city for an overlook from Mt. Scopus, then check into the Dan Jerusalem Hotel for dinner and your first overnight in the City of God.
Day 8: Mt . of Olives - Palm Sunday Road - Bethlehem
This morning you begin at the Mt. of Olives for an introduction to Jerusalem. Ascend the mountains of Jerusalem from Scopus to the Mt. of Olives for an outstanding and breath-taking view of the city across the Kidron Valley to the Eastern Gate. Walking Palm Sunday Road you will see the Chapel of Ascension, Pater Noster and Dominus Flevit. After a visit to the Garden of Gethsemane you will walk through the Kidron Valley before departing to make the short drive to Bethlehem for lunch before visiting the Church of the Nativity, Manger Square, and viewing the Shepherd’s Fields. After this incredible afternoon visiting the place of Christ’s birth, you return to your beautiful hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: - Temple Mount - Pools of Bethesda - Western Wall - Davidson Center - City of David
This morning you rise early to visit the most sacred place on earth, Mt. Moriah. You will visit the Temple Mount and the centuries old “Dome of the Rock” built 688 – 691 A.D. You visit the Pool of Bethesda where Jesus healed an invalid man; visit St. Anne ’s Church. You will have the opportunity to pray at the Western Wall, the Kotel then visit the Davidson Center, and see the ancient Roman Cardo, Robinson’s Arch and the ancient Southern Steps. After spending time on the steps where Jesus would have climbed to the Temple or stopped to teach, you will walk a short distance to the Ancient City of David, an incredible archaeological site under excavation and end at the Pool of Siloam, before returning to your hotel for dinner and overnight 3 in Jerusalem
Day 10: Shiloh - Israel Museum - Ellah Valley
This morning you will leave Jerusalem to drive to Ancient Shiloh where the Tabernacle stood for 369 years. It is an unbelievable site. You will return to Jerusalem to visit the Israel Museum to view the Dead Sea Scrolls and the incredible model of the city of Jerusalem. You will then drive to the Ellah Valley where the incredible battle of David and Goliath occurred, then return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 11: St . Peter in Gallicantu - Sisters of Zion - via Dolorosa - Garden Tomb - DEPARTURE
Check out this morning before the last day of touring in the City of God. This morning you will go to the House of Caiaphas where Christ would have been tried and thrown into the pit. From there you will continue to the Fortress of Antonia, seat of the Roman Procurator, site of the public trial of Christ, and his condemnation and scourging, then make your way along the Via Dolorosa and Calvary to the nearby Garden Tomb. You will complete your tour of Israel on the last afternoon at Calvary and the Garden Tomb. You will enjoy a wonderful Farewell Dinner and Celebration before driving to Tel Aviv to catch a late night flight to the USA.
Day 12: Flight return to the USA
You will land in the USA in the early morning with plan to return to the Land of Israel with friends and family with TLC Holyland Tours!
